The Music Village and St. Joseph County Public Library Present:
Pamwe Marimba- August 30th at Leighton Auditorium!
Join us as The Music Village and the St. Joe County Public Library present Pamwe Marimba at Leighton Auditorium at the library's main branch, 304 S. Main St. South Bend, IN 46601. This Zim-style marimba band was formed by members of Polyphony Marimba, who wowed The Music Village's audience last year with their incredible array of marimbas and combination of entrancing Zimbabwean music and original compositions.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 7pm.

A Symphony of Fear and Shadow: a Live-Scoring of "Nosferatu"
October 4th, 6:30pm at Leighton Auditorium.
Kick off your Halloween season as local experimental rock group, Also on Sundays, performs a live original score to the 1922 silent classic, "Nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror." This annual, family-friendly event is presented by The Music Village, in partnership with the St. Joe County Public Library and DTSB, Inc., and is sponsored by University of Notre Dame.
Come dressed in your best vampire-themed attire to participate in a costume contest for a chance to win movie tickets and other prizes! Don't forget to join the raffle for original horror art by illustrator Alan Hughes.

TMV Instructor & Student Spotlight
The Music Village, in partnership with Chicory Café South Bend, hosts its ongoing "Instructor + Student Spotlight". Come meet each month's featured TMV instructor, as they perform with their students on the last Friday of every month!
Support local business, and enjoy New Orleans-themed foods and drinks as you listen to some local, burgeoning talent!
This free event, which runs from 6pm to 7:30pm, is open to all ages.

First Friday "New Performer" Open Mic
Stop by The Music Village during DTSB's downtown-wide First Friday celebrations, where we'll be hosting our "New Performer" Open Mic!
Performers who are brand-new to the stage or in need of polishing their stagecraft are invited to join us in a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. We'll open things up to more seasoned performers as the evening continues, and close things out with a featured guest.
Signup begins at 5:30pm, with the first performance slot at 5:45pm. Featured guests are announced in the TMV Monthly Music Memo. The event is free, and open to all ages!

Wednesday Night Open Jams
Come sing and play along with us at The Music Village's weekly Community Jam! Musicians of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join in and pick a tune or two from our big book of popular songs from decades past. Whether you're here to make music or just listen, you're bound to have a great time. And if you don't have an instrument, you can play one of ours!
This free event takes place at The Music Village from 6pm to 8pm. Please note that on the last Wednesday of each month through September, we are hosting the jam offsite, from 5pm to 7pm, at Purple Porch Food Co-op, 123 N Hill St, South Bend, IN 46617.
