About the Expansion

Because of music lovers like you, TMV is at full capacity for private lessons! With around 250 students taking weekly lessons at our facility each month and over 150 more through programs and partnerships, we're running out of space!

Our 4,000+ square-foot expansion will include:

4 Wenger Soundlok (soundproof) rooms

A Drum Studio dedicated to Legendary South Bend Drummer Eddie Knight, filled with equipment from his studio

Two large

Flex Classrooms

Additional office space for expanded staff

A rentable, 2,000 sq. ft. Concert and Performance venue

A state-of-the-art teaching recording arts studio

About the Recording Arts Initiative

We’ve been working hard to develop a new teaching Recording Arts facility which will give local artists and musicians the tools and education they need to produce their own music, network with other local and regional artists, and grow their audience.

This educational facility will feature state-of-the-art recording equipment, experienced and professional sound engineers, and one of the largest recording rooms in the region.

Not only will this facility offer traditional recording studio services, it will also  include lessons in acoustics, audio engineering, DAW systems, live sound recording and mixing, podcasting, songwriting & arranging, and much more.

Our hopes for this initiative is to support our already established musician community in South Bend and help prepare the next generation of music creators and appreciators for a vibrant and creative future through entry-level programming.

If you'd like to be part of building this resource for people in our community--whether it's suggesting programs, equipment you'd like to see in the studio, volunteering your time, or donating to the buildout fund--let us know!
